BOTOX®
It seems like everybody is talking about BOTOX® cosmetic, the highly effective, non-surgical procedure that can dramatically reduce your toughest wrinkle. BOTOX® is used on the upper portion of the face and targets the wrinkles on the forehead, between the
eyebrows and the crow's feet. One ten-minute treatment, a few tiny injections, can reduce wrinkles that took years to form.
BOTOX® is a natural purified protein produced by a bacterium that works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles. BOTOX® is FDA approved and minimally invasive with no downtime or recovery. BOTOX® treatments typically last between 3-6 months.
Chemical Peel
Chemical peels improve the overall appearance of your facial skin by removing the damaged outer
layer; as a result, facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation are virtually eliminated. A variety of peeling agents and formulations can be used, but the most consistent and commonly used agents are alphahydroxy acids (AHAs), trichloroacetic acid
(TCA) and phenol.
Restylane
When we are young our skin is smooth and elastic with a healthy glow. As we age, our ability to maintain that smoothness and elasticity diminishes, resulting in skin that becomes drier, thinner and less able to replenish itself. Our body's natural collagen and hyaluronic acid levels decrease and our skin becomes looser. This leads to our skin wrinkling and appearing older than it should.
Approved by the FDA, Restylane is designed to match your skin, smoothing wrinkles, sculpting lips or shaping facial contours. With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane is able to perform for many months in your skin. The most common areas for a Restylane treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). When used for lips or facial contouring, Restylane will add shape and volume to the area. Restylane is able to create volume under your wrinkles, which are then lifted up and smoothed out.
Since no pre-testing is required, a Restylane treatment can be performed almost immediately. It usually takes about 30 minutes depending on the type of correction you want. Most people find the injections relatively painless, but a topical anesthetic can be applied to the area prior to your treatment. You will be able to see the results as soon as your treatment is completed.
Thermage
The Thermage procedure is an advanced way of tightening skin that uses a unique form of radiofrequency energy to allow the Physician to tighten loose or sagging skin, producing a kind of "lift" without an incision or recovery time. It is the only non-invasive method to tighten loose skin.
With the gentle touch of the device tip, the surface of the skin is cooled, while the deeper tissue, is altered by radiofrequency heating. This not only tightens deeper skin tissue, but jumpstarts new collagen production, which occurs over a period of time.
While not a substitute for a surgical facelift, the Thermage procedure can be used on patients with a moderate amount of sagging skin and wrinkles. The Thermage procedure is sometimes referred to as a mini-face lift, ThermaLift or DermalLift by physicians who have observed that this non-surgical procedure lifts and tightens tissue, similar to a facelift without the surgery.
